History
The Tamilnadu Theological Seminary (TTS) was established in 1969 at Arasaradi, Madurai.
TTS was given the mandate by the Churches to train pastors for the Tamil churches, with an emphasis on indigenization and involvement.
Over the years, with a praxis-oriented curriculum along with a strong focus on social involvement and a simultaneous thrust on contextual Theology, Tamilnadu Theological Seminary has trained Pastors for Mission. Truly an Ecumenical venture, TTS is jointly supported by the Church of South India, the Arcot Lutheran Church and the Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church, whose representatives form part of its Governing Council.
