Admission Requirements for B.D. Course:
Age: Minimum 21 years as on 31st May of the year of admission for the male applicants and 20 years for the female applicants.
Academic Qualification: Bachelorīs Degree of a recognised University after the completion of Plus Two studies or M.A. in Open University after 12 (Twelve) years of regular schooling.
Work Experience: Minimum one-year fulltime work experience in Christian Ministry or other relevant work related to Theological Experience.
Admission Requirements for B.Th to B.D.
Age: Minimum 21 years as on 31st May of the year of admission for both male and female applicants.
Academic Qualification: B.Th Degree from the Senate of Serampore College.
Candidates with B.Th Degree with first or second class of the Senate of Serampore College should have passed two qualifying English papers Nos. 72 & 73; and should undergo two full years internal training.
Candidates with B.Th Degree with Third Class should have passed the two qualifying English Papers and should undergo a full three years internal training and do all four years papers.
Work Experience: Minimum one-year fulltime work experience in Christian Ministry or other relevant work experience related to Theological Experience.
Admission Requirements for M.Th Applicants:
Prospective Candidates
- should have passed in the B.D. examination of the Senate of Serampore College in Second Calss with B Grade (60%) and passed at least 3 subjects at B.D. level securing at least second class B Grade (60%) in the desired branch of specialisation.
- must have work experience of three years after completion of B.D. However, women students may be able to join M.Th with two years of work experience after completion of B.D.
- must have passed Ancient language exams for M.Th in Biblical Studies.
For admission to the M.Th course in Social Analysis or Communication, or History of Christianity prospective candidate should have passed at least three subjects at the required standard in the respective areas at the B.D. level.
